The Bank of England,returns, published to-day, show the total reserve in notes and bullion to be £38,064,000, the proportion of reserve to liabilities being 59.34. Three months' bills are discounted at -|- per cent. Consols, 113|>. New South Wales 4 per cents, inscribed stock, 122f; do, 109f ; 3 do, 102£. Victorian 4 per cents., 115£; 8$ do, 108£. South Australian 4 per cents., ll._|; 3_ do, 112 : 3 do, 102£. Queensland 4 per cents., 117*; 3_ do, 110£. - Tasmanian 8£ per cents., 110-f. West Australian 3£ per cents., 112. New Zealand 4 per cents., 116$; 3| do, 110; 8 do, 102£. New Zealand mutton, first qualify 3|d; second quality 2|d. Hemp is unchanged. The English wheat market is quiet and steady, the Continental is changing a little for the worse, and the American is declining and weak. Sugar is dull; best German beet lis 3d, Java 18s 6d. No. 1 best Scotch pig iron, f.o.b. in Clyde, 46s 6d. The Bradford wool market is lifeless. Silver is quoted at 2s 7 8-16 d per oz.
