DOMAIN BOARD.
A meeting of the Christohurch Domain Board was held yesterday, at the City Council Chambers, when there were present MefW.' H. P. Murray-Aynsley (Chairman), R. J. S. Harman, and VV. Jacques, and S. D, Barker, Secretary.
Messrs B. H. Burns and W. T. Charlewood, representing the Christchurch Golf Club, waited oh tue Beard, and asked for psrinisaion to play bathe Park on Thursday afternoons, and also for au extension of their license beyond September 30bh, for which the Club watrwilling to pay. It was resolved toallow the Club permission to play on Thursday afternoon-, westward of the football grounds. The question of the extension of the Club's license was held over till the July meeting of tbe Board. The Bank balance, was stated to be £39 19s 4d, and accounts to the amount of £178 9s 9d were reported as having' been paid. The report, of the head gardener, Mr Taylor, stated tbat the gardens were in good order and several matters which required the attention of the Board were referred to.
The Christchurch Hockey Club were § ranted the u.e of a piece of ground in the onth park between the polo ground and the Christ's College cricket ground. The Secretary was instructed to write to the various football Clubs using the park, asking them to put a stop to the practice of players kicking the ball over the park on the way to the football grounds, and also riding bicycles across the park. The Board then adjourned.
