The scholars ab bhe Lvttelton Borough School have subscribed £4 63 to the fund, and those of West Lytteltou £1 lis. The collectors desire to close their lists by the end of the month, and request all outstanding sums promised to be forwarded immediately.

Mr "Ch G. Stead, Hon. Treasurer of the Bruuner Fund, has received from the Rev. H. East, Chairman of bhe Committee appointed by the- residents of Leithfield, to arrange a ;concert in aid of the Fund, a cheque for £16, being the total proceeds of the concert. Mr East adds:—"Will you kindly enable mc publicly to express bhe thanks of the Committee to those who helped in any way to promote the concerts —to the performers, to oho ladies who provided refreshments, to Mr Turner (of Rangiora) who printed the tickets free of charge, and to the Library Committee for tbe free use of the Town Hall. The concert was thus organised without incurring any expens.e whatever."
