Ai-t. Saints', Sumnkb. —The decorations at this church on K*itur Sunday were exceedingly pretty an-i effective. Marguerites adorned the altar ci-oas, with a base of white roses ; at each side o£ the table were large clusters ot pampas, the altar rails, fout, and reading desk being taateful'y decorated with marguerites and evetgreena. All the windows were drenyed wiTh Pampas and flowers. A word of pruiso is due to Mrs Preston, the Misses Preston, and Mrs aud Misa Deacon for the interest they took in this work. At the morning services " Gose in C " was very well rendered by the choir. There were large congregations at both services. It was announced that the harvest thanksgiving will be held next Sunday.
The tforjaiß Sdkgeokcy.—The report, of the Sub-Committee appointed to consider tha charges of neglocc made agaiuac the House Surgeon by Dr. Lonnx-Smith, waa brought up yesterday at a special meeting, recommending that threo months' notice should be given to Dr. Murray-Aynsley of the termination of bis engagement as House-Surgeon. The report w&3 unanimously adopted. A vote of thanks was passed to Dr. Lomax-Smith, and he was asked to withdraw his resignation from the honorary staff.
Okangrism.—A meeting of No. 3 Loyal Orange Lodge was held iv the Worcester street Orange Hall, on Tuesday evening. The W.M., Bro. John Beattie, and the D.W.M., Bro. E. Williams, occupied the chairs. Bro. E. B. Willis officiated as chaplain, in the unavoidable absence of Bro, Armstrong. ' Correspondence was road from the District re the celebratiou iv July ; from No. 1 Ladies' Lodge, re social on the 23rd, in aid of the Brunner sufferers, and No. 3 Ladiea' Lodge social on the 15th, iv the Oddfollowa' JBall. A candidate was elected by ballot, another duly initiated, one proposed for membership, and another joined by certificate. Visitors present, Bro. White, P.D.M. ; Bro. Skinuer, W.M.,No. 2; Bro. Woodhall, No. 33, &o. Tho usual monthly meeting of No. 3 Victoria Ladies' Orange Lodge was held on Tuesday evening at the Sydenham Chambers, the Lady President in the chair, and Sister Taylor in tho vice-chair. A candidate was initiated into tha Order and two new members proposed. A large amount of correspondence was dealt with. The report of the Committee on the forthcoming social was received.
