There was a large entry of nfcock in the yards to-day, but ac the weather was beautifully fine, there was an unusually good attendance.
, Fat Cattms—There was a fair yarding of fat cattle, and with the exception of a few pens of fine afceere, the quality was chiefly medium. Steers were firmer at 18e to 2XH per lOOlbs, but cowe and heifera were eaaieri aud made 14s to 2.7s per lOOlbs. - Steen made £6 5a to £8, heifers £4 5a to £6 I7e 6d, and cows £3 10a to £6 15s per head/ Dairy and Stork Cattle—There was a moderate yarding of dairy cowe, and nothing in of good quality. There wtus a fair enquiry for useful sorts, and sales wece effected at £3 103 to £7 ss. Some good lines of eighteen months and two and a half-year-old stock were yarded, and altogether the entry was a better one than for several week* past, but there was little or no demand, and sales effected were nob worth recording.
Pios—l'ige were agaio penned in large nnmbers, and except for prime fata pricee were easier. Best baconen and porkers sold ab 3d to 3£d, and mediurii quality to 2|d per lb. Sfcoree were only saleable at very low rates. . Per head the range of valuee was—baconere 25a 6d to 39a 6d, porkers 15s to 233 6d, and stores 2a 6d to 12a 6cl.
Stork Shkep— The yarding of store cheep wa3 & comparatively email one, and the supply was not equal to the demand, there being an especially good enquiry for lambe and breeding ewes*. Two-toothe made ,7e to 8* Id, mixed two and fotir-toofcba 103tolle2d" f four, «ix and eight-tooth crossbred ewes 6s 6d to 7a 2>\, aged do. 4f, merino ewes 2s 9d. Fat Lamb>;—There v/a« only a small entry of fao lamb?, which v/ere readily disposed of ab 6i 6:1 to lie per head. Fat Shskv— T!»j entry of fo6 sheep wae a medium one, bub included a much Wgei proportion o£ crossbred weblxere than for some months past, ami there were aleo several pens-of vice quality merino vrethere.
