CRICKET.
The annual return cricket match between the Addington U.M.F.C. and the St. Asaph street U.M.F.C was played on Good Friday on the United ground, and resulted in a decided win for the latter Club by an innings and 5 run*. Scores —Addington, 62 and 33 (Weir 43 and 10, Wilson 11 and 8); St. Asaph street, 100 (Machin 23, Newton 41, Rogera 18). Bowden and McMeckin bowled best for the losers, and Macbio and Sykes exceedingly well for the winners. On Saturday a* match was pUyed on the Recreationground, Akaroa, between an eleven from Lancaster Park p.C._ and thirteen from the Peninsula, the , former winning on first innings by 35. Scores—L.P.O.C. 107 (Cuff 11, Blytb 40, and Smith 44) and 25 for four wickets. Akaroa 71 (MclnUsh 11 and Buchanan 10) and 70 (Helbert 24, Bruce 12). For Lancaster Park Kitto and Smith bowled best, and Mason and Hartley for the Peninsula. The visitors were entertained at a smoke concert in the evening. . ;
