GARNITURES FOR EVENING WEAR.
The loveliest of possible garnitures are prepared for this season's use. Fringes of snowdrops and violets, buttercups and grasses, primroses, and leaves arc used for flounces, and whole basques will be made of longer fringes of flo Avers. Ruches of leafless white roses are prepared for the shoulders and sleeves of ball dresses, and chatelaines of flowers will also be much in favour again. A pretty arrangement of flowers consists of a ruche of Naples violets round the shoulders, and also round the bands in which the large puffed sleeves are gathered. A sort of girdle of violets passes round tho waist, crosses over in front, and hangs in two long ends tied with knots of violet and white satin ribbon. The same is carried out in white violets, but these being much smaller they do not give such a good effect. Short boos for the neck will be much in evidence for evening wear, made either of flowers or feathers. The latter are in'snowy Avhite, cream, ivory, pale blue, pink, maize, yellow, butter colour, heliotrope, and mauve. Flowers of the same colours are also prepared as boas. Violets look lovely, and so do rose or pelargonium petals.
