FOOTBALL. **>- The Lincoln College Football Club held their annual meeting on Tuesday, when tbe following officers were elected :—President, Mr John Bayne; Vice-Presidenbs, Messrs H. Overton, W. Boag, G. Gray, A. E. G. Rhodes, Dr. Cooke, H. R. Webb, C. E. Adams, P. Marshall; Captain, JR. V. Hosting ; Hon. Secretary, S. G. Reid; Committee, R. V. Hosking, S. G. Reid, G. P. Smith, H. A. Wilson. G. S. Mathews; Selection Committee, P. Marshall, R. "V. Hosking, S. G. Reid. The Linwood Football Club open the sea-ou to-day on the Club's ground, North Park. All members desirous of a game are requested to attend, and teams will be picked on the ground. Play commences at 2.50 sharp. The Chbt-tchc_ch-Donedin Record.— Shorland, the famous cyclist, on one of the celebrated Zealandia bicycles, easily lowered the above record and can do better still.
