AN ATHLETIC FEAT.

Professor T. B. Bax, at Sydney, recently broke the world's record for continuous club swinging. He commenced at 7.15 p.m. on a Friday and continued without break until 11.15 on Saturday night, a period of 28 hours, breaking the world's record by an hour. His club revolutions ranged from 58 to 68 per minute, and tbe clubs each weighed 2lb 9oz. During his great task Bax was fed on beef tea, cocoa and biscuits, and occasionally with pore wine. On the Saturday afternoon he was rubbed down with whiskey, which, he said, had a splendid effect. During his meal times Bax kept on swinging the ciub3, but more slowly than usual. He feels none the worse for his feat, and was able to go for a swim ab Bondi next day.
