ROUND ABOUT RICCARTON.
The recent rains have put tha tracks in good order. The plough has been done up, and is hoav good going. The Yaldhurst team Avere on the ground the othsr morninf, and all were looking AVftll. C00.1w00.l is again a regular attendant and is moving sound. I'saw Vogangan-i run down a few furlongs last week. If his owner does not dispose of him, ho will endeavour to patch him up for a race or two. The name of the chestnut horse from the Bays in the Middleton team is not Mcro but Sigmund. He is by Bundoora. (.Titlie is at present quite in the rough, having been in the paddock for the last month or two. Barnardo Avas schooled OA-er hurdles one morning last week anil jumped in fine style. He will most probably be put at the big jumping game and will figure in the Grand National entry. Magazine, in charge of G. Matthews, left Riccurton for the West Coast on Wednesday. An Rovotr again went wrong after a gallop yesterday, Wednesday, morning. Ellcsmere has also fallen lame. I am afraid the break doAvn of Artilleur's is a serious one and that the son of Artillery Avill not be seen on a racecourse for a very long time.
