Most of the visiting hordes engaged in the races next week are now here, the latest arrivals being Donald MoKanuon, R.tribution, and Hupgarden, from Gisborue. Gipsy Graud has broken down and is not likely to start for the Cup or Stakes. Some good work was done on the tracks at Hastings this morning. The Possible, Mauaki, aud Bessie Macartay did a mile and a half, the Icgomar mare having the best of the tiuisn. Bonnie Scotland, Tireuse, and Triton were treated to ang eight furlong .gallop, the first named tail* ing off towards the end. Bloodshot, accompanied by Torpina, was sent six, furlonga, which was done in lmiu 21seo, the Stakes candidate having muoh the best of the trial. Acone accomplished two circuits at threequarter pace, finishing the last two furlongs at top, looking very fit). Armilia, Stepfeidt, Aio, Rip Van Winkle, Popgun, Searohlignt and others did useful work.

AUCKLAND, Maroh 12. St. Rogel was shipped in the Flora this afternoon to fulfil engagements ac Hawke'ft Bay.
Acceptances for the Dunedin Anniversary Meeting close to-day. Acceptances for the minor events on the first day of the Hawke's Bay Meeting close to-day. Oxford races, to be held next Tuesday, promise to be as successful as those of last year. Forty-three entries have been received for the various events. Several improvements have been made to the buildings, and the Committee are endeavouring to secure a new track alongside the present course. The railway authorities will charge excursion fares on the race day. Norton h«s been awarded list in the Liverpool Grand National, to be run on 27th met. Horizon is Cop weight with 12st 71b.
