(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) ''DUNEDIN, March 10. Mr A. Morrison, member for Caveriham, addressed his constituents this evening. He defended the Government policy and asserted that the surpluses were real. The charge of sly borrowing w *» disingenuous aud unfair. He also defended the tariff, and declared that no additional burdens had been placed on the people.- The increased Customs revenue was due to the increased duty on items not affected by *he new tariff. A vote of thanks and confidence was carried withonb opposition.
