PERSONAL ITEMS.
The Hon. J. MaoGregor was a passenger from Wellington by the Penguin yesterday. Dr. Macgregor came by the same steamer. Mr Skog was a passenger for Wellington by the Tarawera yesterday. The Rev. T. Smaill was a passenger for Sydney by the same steamer. Mr J. G. Scott returned to Christchurch by last night's express. Mr P. Coira, Temuka, is in town. Major Donald, Wairarapa, and Captain Lomax, Wanganui, were in Christchurch yesterday. Mr G. W. Roberts, Ashburton, ia in town. Mr J. Douglas was in town yasterday. Mr T. Wagataff, Timaru, is staying here. Chevalier Borsalino, Italy, and Mr Zurbriggen left for Wellington, en route for Europe, yesterday.
