THE LATE YACHTING ACCIDENT.

MR Si'EWART'S BODY JBOUND.

Yesterday morning the body of Mr F. H. Stewart, the third victim of the recent yachting accident on the estuary at Sumner, was recovered by Mr C. Curtis. It was found on the aide of the Avon channel up stream, between the acene of tbe wreck and the place where the body of tbe late Mr Murray waa diacovered. From its appearance it is presumed that Mr Stewart became entangled in the wreck, and that the slight moving of the boat by Messrs Thompson, Hawker, and Crook on Thursday freed it sufficiently to rise yesterday. The deceased's watch had stopped a quarter of an hour after the late Mr Warner's. The Coroner, Mr Beetham, has been communicated with, and has leplied that an inquest will not be necessary. A meeting of members of the Sailing Club and Fishing Association was held at New Brighton last evening. Mr d. MoIntyre was voted to the chair. The following resolutions wore unanimously carried, on the motion of Mr Hulme. seconded by Vfr Malcoltneon : —"That this meeting of members of the Fishing and Sailing Clubs of New Brighton desires to express itß deep sympathy and condolence with the families of tnose who have suffered in the recent yachting fatality at New Brighton, and that a copy of the resolution be forwarded by the Chairman to those concerned ;" " That this meeting, while acknowledging the arduous labours of the many willing helpers since the late Bad accident, desires to put on record its special recognition of the services of MrC. Curtis in securing aod bringing unaided to New Brighton the body of the late Mr F. H.Stewart." , The Manager of the New Brighton Tram Company has placed a special free tram from New Brighton for the residents desirous of attending the funeral. The parents of the deceased wished the management of the funeral to be left in the hands of the New Brighton residents. The hearse leaves New Brighton to-day at 12 30, for Mr Stewart's house in Kilinore street, and thence the procession will leave for the Barbadoes street Cemetery at 2 p.m.
