DR. JAMESON'S TRIAL POSTPONED INDEFINITELY.

The Transvaal has ordered two additional batteries of heavy guns
from France and Germany.
Mr Rhodes has refuted the Cape Argus statement that the German police in the Transvaal are a greater menace than 100 Jameson raids. February 13. The trial in connection with Dr. Jameson's invasion of the Transvaal has been adjourned indefinitely. The evidence is regarded as weak. Dr. Jameson, before the engagement, wrote to Sir Jacobus De Wet, the British Agent at Pretoria, that he was unable to retire until he obtained food from the Rand. He molested no one, and was anxious to aid the Britishers in their extremity, and then retire.
