MASTBRtON, February 121 The experiment made by the Masterton Agricultural and Pastoral Association of substituting an autumn for the usual spriog show in nob encouraging, if it is to be judged by tho enow held to-day. Although the number of individual exhibit* is about 300 ahead of last show, there is » heavy falling off in stock, on which the success of the show mainly depends. The championships were gained as follows:—Hones—Thoroughbreds —Stallion over four years, Mr J. Devonshire*! Forerunner. Draughts — Stallions over four yearn, Mr G. Watson's Early Morning; filly, foaled since the Ist of Augual, 1892, Mr James McGregor. Cattle —Shorthorn bull, calved since lab July, 1893, Mr W. McKenzie; grade shorthorn cow, Messrs Williams and Bethuue. Sheep —Liuftoln ram over twenty-one months, Bros.; Bomney Marsh ram over twenty-one months, Mr Isaac Sykes; ewe under twenty-one months, Messrs Gray Bros.
