Mr Bevan returned from Wellington by the Penguin yesterday.
The Rev. A. Blake was a passenger for Wellington by tbe Penguin yesterday.
The Rev. W. Caider was a passenger for Nelson by the same steamer.
The Revs. P. W. Fairclough and W. J. Comrie were passengers for Wellington by the Flora yesterday.
The Key. Father Dawson went by the same steamer.
Messrs Visaer and Halse, delegates from the Cape, are passengers from Wellington by the Waihora. Mr Walter Potts, of New South Wales, and formerly of the Bank of New South Wales at Amberley, is at present on a visit to Canterbury. The Hon. John M'Kenzie is staying at tha Terminus HoteL
Mr J. Anderson was a passenger for the South by the express yesterday. Mr Bailer, of the Bank oi New Zealand, was in Ashburton yesterday. Mr Raymond, who has been on a visit to Cbristchurc-t, returned to Timarn yesterday. Mr Dickson, of tbe Bruce Herald, is on a visit to Temuka.
Mr Webster returned from Akaroa to Geraldine last evening. Mr Bain, of Arowhenua, was a passenger by the express from the south last evening. Mr C. W. Turner went to Timaru by the express yesterday. The Hon. J. Q. Ward and his private secretary, Mr Hyde, arrived from tbe sonth last night, and are staying at Warner's HoteL
Mr T. Phillips, The Point, Windwhistle, is staying here. Tbe Yen. Archdeacon Harper was in town yesterday.
