Dunedin, Janußry 13. The various Senior and the Junior Cup matches were continued on Saturday from the previous Saturday, and will probably be finished during tho current week. On the Carisbrook Ground the A. team met the Grange men and put on 123 runs, while the latter have scored 94 for two wickets, Johnston, who batted in great form, being not out with 33, and Parker ditto with 18. Baker made 21 and A. Downes 17. Baker secured five for 28 and had the best average. In the Dunedin-Albion match on the North Ground the former won by six wickets. For the winners Skitch made 36, McCroric 30 not out, Kinvig 22 not out and Beok 13, and for the loscra Black played very well for 44, Turnbull made 23 and McDonald 14.
The Carisbrook B team had an easy win over Opoho, putting on 163 to the others' 84. For Carisbrook J. Burt made 44 very nicely, and was ably backed up by Thompson with 34. T. Cooke (18), Morice (17). Hunter (12) and E. J. Austin (11) did next best. For the losers Wells secured five wickete for 32 runs and Turnbull three for 16, while G. Harraway bagged cix for 32 and H. Fisher, a brother of t/i« Fishor, took four lor 43. In junior cricket the following are the results :—On the Opoho ground the Oceans men gave the home team a decided beating by six wickets and 74 runs. For the winners Hodges and Johnston scored 89 runs in about forty minutes, the latter scoring 60 before bowing to the bowler, and his partner In tho Albion—University match there was a very exciting finish, leaving the first named victors by 2 runs. Mornington beat Dunediu by an innings and 27 runs. Carisbrook defeated Port Chalmers, at the Port, by 55 runs, the score 3 being 96 and 41, Wynks, the veteran, claiming 57, made in his old style. Harraway, for the winners, bagged six wickets for 13 runs. The Cariebrook—'Varsity match was concluded on the previous Thursday, the latter having an easy six wickets' win. The Dunedm beat the Union S.S. Co. by seven wickets on Friday evening. For the winners Malcolm secured five wickets for 4 runs. The weather has been quite unsuitable for the game for some time.
