PROHIBITION.

Lecturing upon prohibition at Nelson last week, the Rev. F. W. Isitt said that from North Canterbury to Invorcargill thore was very great reason to believe that they would carry '* no license" within a large part o* that area. He had hopes that the prohibitionists would carry the poll at Kaiapoi, Ashley, and Timaru. Dnuedin would probably carry "no license," and right away to lavercargill. He ventured to prophesy that Clulha, where a spurious prohibition had been tried, would reaffirm its vote for prohibition by a strong majority.
