OPOSSUMS IN NEW ZEALAND.
The opo3sams liberated by the Nelson Acclimatisation Society in various parts of the district are said to be increasing. Those set free by the Wellington Society are also doing well. They find excellent food in the native bush as a substitute for the gum forests of Australia.
