CARE OF THE ROADS.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRKa'3. Sir, —I wish to draw attontion to the state of the roads from Christchurch to Fendalton, especially the portion under the control of the Riccarton Road Board. They Are in a disgraceful state, and considering the quantity of traffic- it is high time they were properly attended to. No doubt the iry weather in the past may have something to do with the number of 10030 stones but, Bir, I 'imagine we ore rated quite high enough to have tha roads properly looked after. I have no idea if other districts under the control ot the Board are as bad, but I think we ought to have an occasional viiib and the roads straightened up a bit. I have refrainod for a long time from complaining, being under the impression something may be done, but week after week passes and no notice whatever is taken, trusting this nuy be the means of drawing the attention of the Board to this important matter, and apologising for troubling you. ■—Yours, Sea., SUFFERER.
