TENNIS MATCH.
A match between the Darfield and Annat Clubs was played ou the courts of the latter last Saturday, but tho pleasure oE the match was greatly marred by the strong, dusty wind that prevailed. The ladies of the home Club provided lunch and afternoon tea. The following aro the results:— Doubles—Mrs Hamilton and Miss Pengelly (A.) beat Mrs luglis and Miss Poison (D.), 9—3 ; Miss Gillauders and Miss Poison (L).) beat Mrs Wright aud Mies Mooro IA.), 9—B; AlcLeod and Colthart (A.) beat Dr. luglis and Shelden (D.). 9—l; J. Gillanders and Reid (D.) beat Mcßue and JjJ. Colthart (A.), 9-8; Raid ai.d Withell (D.) beat, Dawe and E. Colthart (A.), 9—5; Wright and Colthart (A.) beat Dr. Inglia and Withell (D), 9—7; McNae and McLeod (A.) beat Shelden and J. Gillaudern (l>.). 9—3; J. Gillaudere and Reid (U.) beat Dawe and Wright (A.), 9—B. SinglesMiss Peutcoliy (A.) beac Miss Gillanclcrs (D.), 9-3; Misa Poison (U) beat Miss Moore (A.), 9—7; B. Colthart (A.) beat Withell (D.), 9—o; McLeod (A.) beat Shelden (D.), 9-2; Colthart (A.) beat Dr. Inglis (U.), 9—3; Dawe (A.) beat Reid (D.), 9-3; J. Gillanders (D.) beat McNae (A.), 9—2. The match ended in a wiu for Annat by 119 to 79 games.
