Mr Hutchinson's house at Can.sr.idge, which was destroyed by fire, was insured for £300 in tbe South British, and his stock and furniture for £350 in tbe Royal office. WELLINGTON, January 4. An interim dividend at the rate of 4 per cent, bas been declared by the Wellington Building and Investment Company for the half year ended the 31st of December. The next Grand Division of the Sons and Daughters of Temperance will be held at Kaiapoi in Jannary, 1897.
