Four started. One mile amateur bicycle handicap—W. Reatieaux, scr, 1; J. Gilbert, 25yds. 2. Time, 3min 14sec. Three started. 220 yards handicap —B. Smyth, 10yds, 1; F. Minchin. 12yds, 2. Gillanders 2. Twenty- four started. Tug of war, Married v single—Won by the single men. 220 yards boys' handicap, under sixteen—W. Gillanders, 6yds. 1; T. McClelland, scr, 2. Ten started. 100 yards girls' handicap, under sixteen—J. McClelland 1, L. Hutchison 2. Five started. 100 yards flat handicap—J. Laffey, 4yds. 1; D. Cameron, scr, 2. Time, llAsec.' Thirteen started. Quoits match—\V. Stott 1, D. Mcßeath 2. Four competed. Throwing the hammer—A. Mcßeath, 82ffc, 1; D. Cameron 2. Four competed. Half-mile fiat—T. Pearson 1, A. Fibbes 2. Four competed. During the day eight children's races were got off, for which a total of £5 was given in prizes. At the conclusion of the programme a trot for maiden horses was run. There were seven entries, aud the result was—G. Grey's b g Demon 1, S. Stewart's br g Barney 2.
