The Copenhagen quotation last Thursday was Bniltered, and to-day it has been reduced 12 kronere. This reduction has, of course, already been discounted. Colonial has not luffered so much as Danish, but today's quotations are 116s to 120* for finest and 103s to 114s for ordinary. Although the imports of colonial have been mall still holders hero have not been nearly to arm as might have been expected. The explanation, we think, is that the greater part of the recent shipments had been bought in Australia by the importers at a price equal to IOJd per lb (98s) or Jess, Delivered here, and us the present prices »how a handsome profit they were anxious to dear at any reasonable figure, the more io at thoy have larger shipments of bought batter on the way. We anticipate that prices will be fairly good for the next two months io spite of the large shipments at preient on the way from Australia. Everything, however, will depend on the progress of the drought in the colonies, which, according to the reports, begins to look eerioua."
