MAIL NOTICES.
Mails dose for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations :— THURSDAY, DECEMBER 26. For Northern Ports, per Peoguio, at 10 a.m. For Northern Ports and Australian colonies, per Anglian, at 10 am. FRIDAY, DECEMBER 27. For Northern Ports, and also for South America, United Kingdom and Europe (to connect with Kaikoura at Wellington), per Hauroto, as follows :—Letters, books and newspapers, at 3 p.m. ; late fee letters, 315 p.m.; parcels registered letters and I money or dors, at 2 p.m. . guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Dunedin, per Corinna, at 12.30 'p.m. ; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m. ; guard's van, 1.25 p.m. train. On December 26tb, Boxing Day, the Post Office will be opeu from 9 a.m. till 10 a.m. only. There will be one delivery by letter carriers, commencing at 8 a.m., and no mails will be despatched after 10 a.m. Mails for Suva, per Upolu, will close at Auckland, 4 p.m., January 2nd. | The next mail for Chatham Islands will close on January 2nd.
