RANGIORA BOROUGH SCHOOL.

The annual priza distribution took place on Friday afternoon, in the presence of a number of the parents and Committee. Mr R. Ball, Chairman of the Committee, presided, and Mr Buddo, M.H.R. and the Revs. P. R. Monro and F. J. Garlick addressed those present. The certificates of merit, which the Chairman explained were fiven in lieu of prizes, were handed to the by- by Mr Buddo and to the girls by Mrs Keir, the Mayoress. Standard I.—H. Standard lII.— Bessie Laoe 1, H. Gillespie 2, Cecil Cave 3. Standard IV.—Edith McDonald 1, Gladys Rogers 2, 0. Keir 3. Standard V.—James Monro 1, F. Hadecke 2, W. Taylor 3. At the termination of the proceedings Mr Buddo moved a vote of thanks to the Head Master, Mr Cumberwojrth, and teaching staff, and the scholars gave three cheers for the Committee and visitors and a tiger for the holidays.
