SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

The usual monthly meeting of tbeChertsey Committee was held on December 7th. Present—Mr W. Oakley (in the chair), and Messrs Lukies, Ealham, Campbell, Stewart, Copland and Scarlett. The master's report showed attendance about 60. A special meetiug was arranged to be held on December 2lst. The monthly meeting of the Annat School Committee was held oh Saturday, December 7th. Present—Mr Keys (Chairman), and Messrs Searie, Thomson, Halladay, Piper and Teague. The Inspector's report on the recent examination was an exceptionally good one. It was resolved that a vote of thanks and congratulation on the results attained should be sent to Mr McLeod and Miss Wallace. Accounts were passed for payment, and an application for the use of the school was granted.
