CRICKET.
. TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir,—Your old friends, "An Old Ctioketer" and "Another Old Crickoter," •MI see on their annual warpath. Why these two antiquated idiots should always try and stuff the publio with tho notion that Canterbury cricket has gone to the dogs, is •fhat beats mc. Why, sir. at least two of oar Senior Elevens are equal, if not superior, to the old-time interprovincial team, that these two old fossils admire so much. Probably the faot that they have grown old, although not, in Canterbury's service, if their latest effusions are to be counted, has impaired their eyesight. I should recommend that they indulge in spectacles of a more roseate hue, and perhaps they may see things in a more favourable light. 1 trust tho publio will nob pay attention to these old " has-beeu's," but remember that the only team to beat the New South Welsh during tho last tour was the Canterbury Eleven. And, sir, lam confident that norleleoted will do the same thing again.— lours, ftc, An Ex-Rep. Christchurch, December 6th.
