A clerk stabbed Signor Depera, the head of the department and Italian Minister of tho Interior in the back. The accused has been arrested. The cause ia attributed to revenge owing to dismissal from his position. VOTE OF CONFIDENCE. December 4. Signor Crispi told the Chamber that the Triple Alliance was never more firmly cemented. A vote of confidence was passed by a large majority. THE REBELLION IN CHINA. Shanghai, December 3. Mr Brackett lie-3d has been elected Speaker of tha "House by a large majority.
