MIDLAND BAILWAY ARBITRATION.
(press association telegram.) WELLINGTON, December 3. The Midland Railway Arbitration Court was occupied all the forenoon in examining Mr Daniels, miniug engineer, as to the nature of the reserves made by the Crown. The evidence to-day was devoted to the question of mining reserves, and it will be for some time. Some of the same witnesses will be re-called to give evidence as to timber. This course being adopted in order to set the issues in a clearer light. The general opinion is that there is not the slightest.chance of the case being finished by Christmas, but that the end of January is more probable.
