SATURDAY'S PRODUCE REPORT.
(BY OUR COMMERCIAL EDITOR.) The advent ot the warmer and more seasonable weather has already brought with it a more marked activity, and enquiries have been a iiitle more apparent daring the past two days, especially for oats and feed stuffs. A line of prime heavy Canadians sold this morning at 2s 2d at a near country station, and good short feed was sold at 2* Id and 2s Hi. Inferior grades do not command much attention, and buyers are not keen about dealing with these qualities, which command bids of Is 10d a-.d Is lid only. Whkat has not improved, and the market remains rather stagnant and inoperative at 5s 3d to 3s 9 i country stations. Millers are not baying at all freely and seem to ba content at present with filling only pressing needs.
Chaff is still selling pretty freely, and some fairly large parcels have been sold during the week at 60a and 62s 6d, sacks extra, at country stations.
Potatoes appear to have collapsed altogether. Buyers are declining to make any offers, and the reporte from Sydney today are all against , the probabilities of further trade being done there this season.
Other lines of produce are in no way altered from our last report and business in barley, peas, beans, ryegrass and cocksfoot is only of a fitful and uneventful character.
[These quotations, unless otherwise specified, are the net cash prices paid to the producer free of brokerage or commission, and for delivery at country stations within a twenty-five mile radius of town. For delivery on board ship at Lyttelton add 2d to 2i,d per bushel.]

Medium draughts brought £10 to £15 15s, harness horses £8 to £11, haoks £5 to £10. There was a good entry of pigs in the produce markets, and though prices kept up to late levels, the sale was a dragging one. Weaners sold at 3s 6d to 6s 6d, small stores 83 to 12s, larger do 13s to 16a, porkers 17s 6d to 255. There was a full yarding of poultry and a fair sale.
