CRIMINAL SESSION.
Satubday, Novembeb 30. . (Before hie Honour Mr Justice Dennieton.) The Criminal Session of the Supreme Court was resumed at 10 a. m. OBTAINING MONEY Br FBAUD. The case of Regina v Hale was continued. Mr Joynt addressed the jury for the defence. Mr Creaswell replied. His Honour summed up The jury retired at 12.58 to consider their verdict. The jury were called in at 2.30 p.m. and asked by his Honour if there was any prospecit of their agreeing. .The Foreman said he thought there was in the course of about two hours. The jury again retired and his Honour adjourned the Court until 3.30 p.m. The jury returned into Court at 4.47 p.m. and gave a verdiob of " Not guilty " on the first count.
Mr Oreaswell said he proposed to go on with the second count, and he presumed it would be necessary to apply for an adjournment.
Hie Honour said he presumed the case would not be etarted at that hour of the day. The adjournment would be until the next sessions.
Mr Creeswell—Undoubtedly. , His Honour asked Mr Joynt if be intended making any application for bail. Mr Joynt said he would apply for a redaction of the bail, which was now two suretiee of £100 each.
Hie Honour fixed the bail in two sureties of £50 and adjourned the Court until the next aittingß. The Coart then rose.
