EAST CHRISTCHURCH CLUB.

The East Christchurch Amateur Swimming Club held a sports meeting on Saturday, when there was a fair attendance, and the events were well contested. Mr E. A. Newton, halves; and H. Dnnnage, P. Stokes, H. Bullivant and T. Wauchop < beat the Richmond team by three goals to two. The losing team was made np of A. 8. Andrews, goal-keeper; L. D. Armitage and A. B. Truscott, halves; and H. L. Armitage, G. W. Bell (sub), H. W. Thomas and W. Basaebt, forwards. Stokes obtained two and Bullivant one goal for the winners, and H. I*. Armitage and Bassett one each for the losers. The programme aleo inoluded diving and turning competitions.
