At the Manchester meeting the chiei event, the Manchester Handicap, resulted as follows :—lvor 1, Count Sehomberg 2, Aceaparear {sic) 3. Piris finished tenta in a field of sixteen. The betting against the son of Grand Master was 50 to 1, and for a place 10 to S.
