The first wool sale of this season's seriesv under the auspice i of tha Christchurcl Wool Brokers' Association, was hel( in the Oddfellows' Hall, Lichfield on Nov. 22nn, when there was a good at; tendance' of Home and local buyers, and a large number of persons, more or lest interested in the sale. There was • total of 10,230 bales and a nnmbei of bags under offer. The wool, though heavier in grease than last year, was not in such good condition, being generally dirty and diugy through the long epellof dry weather aud nor'-westers in the spring. iother classes mentioned. Second class and nferior wools were very dull of sale, but fellmongers , lots sold very wel). Bidding was at times rather spiritless, but when good lines were reached it became active, and competition was keen.
