THE MIDLAND RAILWAY.
The Press Association telegraphs from Wellington that Sir Robert Stout will lead the case for the Crown in the arbitration proceedings ; Mr Gully, of Wellington, and Mr Stringer, of Christchurch. appear with him. Mr Hutchison, of Wellington, Mr Cooper, of Auckland, and Mr Jones, of Greymouth, are counsel for the Railway Company. The proceedings are expected to last at least three months, and possibly longer.
