The handicap match will be finished in the forenoon, and in the afternoon the interIsland match will be played.

The Press Association having failed to send particulars of the Golf Chiinpionahip Meeting which has been taking place this week ou the Hutt links at Wellington, we are indebted to the Otago Daily Times for the following details of the early play, which it obtained from private telegraphic information. Pryde (Hutt) beat Mr Wilson, Mr MacNeil (Otas-o) beat Dr. Purdy (Hutt), Mr Lambie (Christchureh) beat Mr Caldwell (Hutt), Dr. Goaset (Christchureh) beat Mr D. Pryde (Hutt), Dr. Lomax-Smitb(Christchureh) beat Mr Saunders, Mr Treadwell (Hutt) beat Mr Still (Hutt), Mr Duncan (Wellingtou) beat Mr Wilson. Ia the second round Mr W. Pryde beat Mr D. B. Howden, Mr MacNTeil beat Mr Lambie, Dr. Gosset beat Dr. Lomax Smith, Mr Duncan beat Mr Treadwell, Mr Wilder (Christchureh) beat Mr Iz.rd (Wellington), Mr Lees (Wellington) beat Mr Fitzherbert, (Hutt), Dr. Brown (Otago) beat Mr C. R. Howden fOtago), Mr Gillies (Auckland) beat Mr Jack (Anckland).

Private information received in Christchurch yesterday afternoon stated that in the semi-final round Dr. G j-,et beat Mr W. W. Pryde 4 up and 3 to play, and Mr E. Wilder beat Dr. Brown 4 up and 3 to play. The telegram appearing above shows Dr. Gosset to have wound up his victorious career by winning the championship, and thus verifying the predictions of those who saw his line play ou the North Park links recently.
