The free labour Conference, representing 120,000 men, condemned tho action of tbe Unions in attempting to force the Government to introduce the Employers' Liability Bill, which the Conference believe would inflict injustice on employers. Newcastle, October 10. Miners in the Metropolitan colliery have accepted a reduction of 4d per ton for hewing. The rate is now 2s 2d.
