NAPIKI4, October 4. At Hastings the Guineas favourite. Bloodshot, was sent ft satisfactory gallop by Derrett, greatly pleasing the touts. Chaafe sent Popgun üboitt a. mile and a quarter, finishing up with a mnart five furlong flutter- Hip Vim Winkle, in company with others, finished n.3 well as any tiling at the end of a mile gallop. Huatai, Triton ami Mahaki accomplished one circuit JD lmin 52iaec, being yieiied up by Sheet Lightning ut tho five furlong post, the latter nuishing in front of Huatai and Triton, who in turn was ahead of Mahaki. Orion's Belt cantered over two circuits, end then broke away for the five furlongs post, pulling up very strong. Heavenly Twin and Search Liyht ran six furlongs in lmin 25sec, while Planet accompanied by The Shrew swuug ones round in lmin 55soe, the former having the best of the finish. The splendid weather ia favouring the trainers", and the local horse) are all well forward for next week's races.

The Plnmpton Park Spring Meeting takes place to-day, and some interesting racing und trotting may be looked foj. The weather promises to bo fine, and tho first rece takes place at 1 o'clock.
