CHESS NOTES.
The challenge cent by the players of the Auckiand district has been duly accepted by the Wellington Chees Club, and the contest will bs fought out afc«r Parliament is out of session. There will be twenty players a-side.
The Oiago Chess Club ore trying to meke arrangements to enable them to challenge Wellington to a chess match on November 9th.
