SMALL BIRDS NUISANCE.

A meeting of members of Road Boards in the Ashuurlon county was held at Ashburion on Saturday. Mr G. W. Leadley was voted t« the chair. The following motion was , carried—•• That this meeting of representatives of the various Ror.d Districto of the A»hbarton county is strougly of opinion that tho time has arrived for some concerted action to be taken by the local bodies iflth the view to the adoption of more adequate means for the suppression of the (Bull birds nuisance than those at present employed." It was further decided to ask the Government to legislate in the direction o< compelling municipalities to adopt mea- , lures to check the nuisance ; also that a conference of all tho local bodies should be **«<i to discuss the question.
