Monday, August 19. (Before J. Hamilton and G. Laurenson, Esqa., J.P.'h). Drunkenness.—John Paul was charged with being drunk and with using obscene language. He was fined Ss, or in default 24 hours' on the first charge, aud was sent to gaol for 14 days on the second. Alleged Theft. — Peter Hagland, a fisherman, was charged with the larceuy of a piece of rope, valued 8s 9d, the property of John Neilson. The case was adjourned till the following day, and accused was admitted to bail, himself in the sum of £25, and two sureties, each £10.
