A STEAMER STRANDED.

(press association teleoram.) AUCKLAND, August 1. The steamer Kiripaki, 150 tons, is stranded at the mouth of the Ngunguru River. She is coal laden, and insured* for £300 in the New Zealand and £1300 in the Victoria Offices. She belonged to the Ncunguru Coal Company. Captain Worep, of the Underwriters' Association, has left Auckland to see what can be done. The latest is tbat the vessel may be regarded as a total wreck.
