THE MINNIE DEAN CASE.

(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, July 29. When the Appeal Court resumed on the Dean case the Bench said that it was unnecessary to call on Mr Mac Donald to reply. The Judges were unanimous that there was no case to answer and would give their reasons in writing on Wednesday. The Court unanimously dismissed the application for leave to appeal. The case of Mrs Dean was not considered by the Executive Council to-day, but a special meeting is convened for 930 to-morrow morning, to decide whether the death sentence shall be commuted or carried out.
