Nominations for the Hawke's Bay Stake «l«e to-day. At » meeting of the Committee of the Ashburton Racing Club, held on Saturday evening, Mr Hugo Friedlander was Unanimously elected Chairman. After discussion it was decided to hold a one day's J*°e meeting, and Anniversary Day, December 16tb, was fixed as the day on which the meeting should be held. Training operations at Riccarton were •ospendea yesterday morning owing to the •now and rain storm. The following horses reached Riccarton on Sunday to fulfil engagaments at the wand National Meetiug :—Roscius, Triton, boomerang, and Glengarry, from Hastings ; *»nald Mclvinnon, Royal, The Bishop. **»vel, and Nero, from Gisborne; and crystal, from Wellington.
