THE WINTON MURDER.

Mr T. M. McDonald, Crown Prosecutor in Invercargili, arrived from the South last evening en route for Wellington, where he will be associated with Mr H. Gully, the Crown Prosecutor there, in appearing to show cause upon the motion, to be made before the Court of Appeal on Saturday next, in the case of Rsgiua, v Minnie Dean. Dr. Findlay. of Weiliugton, ha 3 been instructed by Mr Hanion to move for leave to appeal. It is understood that Mr Hanion is endeavouring to arrange with counsel for the Crown to consent to the Srst coming application being treated as a formal motion, aud to take the argument when a case is stated.
