FIRE.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, July 20. At a fire in Eden terrace, in Gotland's greengrocery, the building was gutted. The stock was insured for £40 ia the National Office. The premises of McNaughton, hairdresser, and Hawes, bootmaker, were damag.d. Hawes' stock and furniture were insured for £150 in the Royal. McNaughton was uninsured. Tbe three shops were under one roof. Mrs Jane Robertson, the owner, had insured the building for £250 in the New Zealand Office. The damage is estimated at £300. DUNEDIN, July 21. The Athenaeum Hall, ab Hill's Creek, has been destroyed by fire. The building and books were insured in the New Zealand office for £150. A portion of the hall was occupied by Messrs Auld and Sons, drapers, who value their loss at £750. It is not known if they are insured.
