STARVING SHEEP.

As an evidence of what sheep will do to maintain life, the North Otago Times mentions that some of the Laud Company's sheep were caught in the recent snowstorm on tho Kakanui mountains. Before they were discovered 50 had died, and the remaining 100 had eaten every particle of wool off their bodies. The Bheep oould not have been shorn closer.
