COKER's Hotel—Wo have to decline with thanks one or two letters from correspondents discussing the decision of the Licensing Committee in regard to Coker's Hotel. As the action of the Committee had been censured by the Ministers' Association and we thought it right in fairness to the Committee to allow them to make the explanution of the grounds for their decision, which was published in the yesterday. PEOST Fish—We could not publish your letter without the risk of an action for libel. Not is Gaol.—When a man is sentenced to imprisonment " for the term of hia natural life," it means that he is to be detained till the end of hia day?, unless the Governor in Council should see fit to commute the sentence at an earlier period. Thi-J is sometimes done in the cases of prisoners who are welt-behaved after a. lapse of twenty years or so. We cannot undertake to publish letters copies or which have bceu seat to any other journal. Correspondents desiring insertion of their coinmuuica'.-ions should therefore scud ua a statement that, they have not beea and will not be forwarded to any other paper.
